Aeration and Overseeding

At Amazing Grass we know that a healthy, lush lawn starts with proper care. Our Aeration and Overseeding Program is designed to rejuvenate your lawn, improve soil health, and promote vigorous growth. Here's how we do it:

Aeration: Give Your Lawn Some Air!

Why Aerate?

  • Improve Soil Structure: Aeration alleviates soil compaction, allowing roots to grow deeper and stronger.

  • Enhance Water and Nutrient Uptake: Aeration opens up the soil, making it easier for water, air, and nutrients to reach the roots.

  • Reduce Thatch: Aeration helps break down thatch, the layer of organic matter that can smother your grass.

Our Aeration Process:

  1. Assessment: We start by assessing your lawn's current condition to determine the best approach.

  2. Before Instructions: We'll send you detailed guidelines on how to prepare your property for our aeration service.

  3. Core Aeration: Using professional equipment, we remove small plugs of soil from your lawn, creating space for air, water, and nutrients.

  4. Debris: We leave the plugs to allow them to naturally decompose and enrich the soil.

Overseeding: Thick and Lush Lawns because we are Amazing Grass and not OK Grass

Why Overseed?

  • Fill in Bare Spots: Overseeding fills in thin or bare areas, giving your lawn a fuller appearance.

  • Improve Grass Variety: Adding new grass varieties can make your lawn more resistant to disease, drought, and other stresses.

  • Boost Lawn Density: A denser lawn is not only more attractive but also better at crowding out weeds.

Our Overseeding Process:

  1. Seed Selection: We use the finest grass seed mix, perfectly adapted to our local climate. Our seed is highly rhizomatous, boasts excellent disease and stress resistance, produces a rich dark green color, and is Oregon Blue Tag Certified.  This Blue Tag is your only guarantee that the seed in the bag is the specified variety and top quality. Without this tag, you might be buying floor sweepings.

  2. Seed Application: After aeration, we seed evenly across your lawn to ensure optimal coverage and growth.

  3. Post-Seeding Care: We provide detailed instructions for watering and care to ensure the seeds germinate and establish successfully.

Program Benefits:

  • Stronger, Healthier Lawn: Aeration and overseeding work together to improve soil health, root development, and overall lawn vitality.

  • Enhanced Resilience: A well-maintained lawn is more resistant to pests, diseases, and environmental stresses.

  • Improved Aesthetics: Enjoy a lush, green lawn that enhances your home's curb appeal and provides a beautiful space for outdoor activities.

Seasonal Timing:

  • Spring and Fall: These are the best times for aeration and overseeding, as the mild temperatures and increased moisture create ideal conditions for grass growth.
